Study Purpose. This project studies how children learn imitation skills through short, game-based practice sessions. You are being asked to participate because you or your child is working with the Mimic Training team.
What will happen. Sessions will involve brief prompts, four-second video recordings, and automated feedback. Videos are stored securely and transferred to Slate (Indiana University’s protected storage) for research analysis.
Voluntary participation. Participation is voluntary and you may stop at any time. Stopping will not affect any services you currently receive. You may request deletion of recordings by contacting the research team.
Risks & benefits. Risks are minimal and primarily relate to sharing video recordings. Benefits include access to imitation activities and the opportunity to contribute to ongoing research.
Confidentiality. Data is stored on secure IU systems. Only approved researchers have access. Reports and publications will not include names or any information that could identify you or your child.
